MacKenzie was raised at the shelter for 4.5 months and watched all her siblings be adopted before her. The shelter thought we would be the perfect parents for the kisses-giving little puppy, but we originally were looking to adopt an older dog. After seeing her picture in the paper a few weeks later as a ""Forgotten Valentine,"" we rushed over and adopted her. She is a dream dog - she is intelligent, never jumped on furniture or chew anything she wasn't supposed to, was potty trained in a day, and learns new commands quickly. Better yet, she's loving, gentle, a true companion - she definitely puts those ""aggressive pit bull"" rumors to shame, as she is the sweetest dog we have ever met!

MacKenzie's mom, Amy, was brought to the local Humane Society shelter after her owners were arrested. That night, Amy gave birth to 9 beautiful pit bull / rottwiler puppies, one being MacKenzie.
